Delicious Vinyl proudly presents the scintillating debut single by The ZZYZZX — the new father/son duo of Cuban-American rap legend Mellow Man Ace and 15-year old MC/producer Cazal Organizm. Having released Mellow Man Ace's classic 1987 single "Do This," Delicious Vinyl now partners with The ZZZYZZ to represent both the foundation and the progression of hip-hop, proof that inspiration flows both ways.

"The ZZYZZX (What Is It?)" is produced by Cazal Organizm with spry, futuristic keyboards sizzling over boom-bap drums, packed with sly cultural references as father and son trade memorable verses. When Mellow Man asks "Why does The ZZYZZX blow from the west to the east?" Cazal Organizm (whose uncle is Cypress Hill's Sen-Dog) shoots back: "So I can let 'em know about the beat masterpiece!"

On the flipside, "Battle Anybody" has two Aces up its sleeve: Mellow Man Ace and guest emcee Masta Ace. The first time Mellow Man and Juice Crew legend Masta Ace have joined on wax, "Battle Anybody" is another production tour de force from Cazal Organizm, with stun-gun phasers firing atop crisp funk snares, bouncing bass, and Cazal himself quipping on the hook: "Please forgive me for my brash delivery, but..." Mellow Man and Masta Ace, meanwhile, flex the pure skills that have made them living legends.
